M1 carbine (could be a post war version or even an M2 carbine, I'm no expert on U.S weaponry).

Richard Underwood would be unhappy to hear you say that! It's a Polish made high end uniform that Der Spiesse is wearing...... The wedding ring was worn on either hand.

The weapon is it - It's actually an M2!!!!!! (Bayonet lug) - can't see the pot bellied stock or the selective fire lever but it's there.

Those pea dot Y fronts are very practical - they don't need washing for weeks...

TIP: get the farby cotton ones - linen chafes too much :x

Ah thats cos you buy cheap repros from china dave where the print bleeds through...

Any collector knows an original pair of dated ones have a white reverse side and show up the skidmarks something chronic... erm or so i've read... ;)

Ah, that's because you're making the classic mistake of not turning them inside out after a couple of days, then turning them back to front. You can wear the same pair of shreddies for a week with good rotation. So I'm told.

Im just glad they dont make a thong...reverse would be interesting, something would get sliced....ouch :slap:

a lot of ho ha about guys NOT wearing camo but to be fair from the lower end of the market its the quickest way of getting an impression together and the cheapest. One thing I would add however is groups all wearing the same kit looks fab and always will and I would love to see a field of guys on the german side at a d-day game all wearing the same kit. The D-Day pics always look top from the allies but ze hun pics do look fractured and thrown together.

would be amazing to see 50 odd guys all in the same kit...one day :good:

Which is historically accurate. I've got quite a few pics of a squad of SS troops in Normandy, and the sheer variation in camo clothing between soldiers is a surprise.

To be honest, there's not a lot of price difference (if any) between a Feldgrau tunic and trousers and (say) a Dot44 tunic and trousers.

True. But for some reason the first item most people buy is a camo smock.
